Metahuman Classes

Edition #5

Foreign Languages

Hello, Metahumans! Welcome to a new edition of 'Metahuman Classes'. In this blog, we talk about the different classes we have on our site. This week we'll talk about... Foreign Languages!

Why do we learn it?

In this world, there are many languages. However, there is (almost) no one who knows all of them. This is why it is helpful to at least learn a little bit of another person's language. For example, English. Even if you weren't born in an English-speaking country, there is a big chance you still know it. This is so we can communicate with everyone. Foreign Languages is really important if you're a hero, so you can help everyone, in everyone's language.

What do we learn?

Obviously, in Foreign Languages you will learn all about different languages. In the first year, for example, you will get taught Italian and Spanish. Languages which sound really beautiful, if you ask me. In one of the other years, however, you will be focusing a bit more on English and how exactly we communicate. In short, you will learn a lot about languages.

Interviews

We can't talk about Foreign Languages without getting Imogen Spring here, am I right? This is why I have an interview with them for you!

Imogen, Master of Foreign Languages

There is only a small chance that you know someone who knows as many languages as Imogen. You can say that she has a really big passion for it, which is good, seeing that she has to teach it.

Interview:

Why did you want to become the Master of Foreign Languages and not the Master of another subject?
I wanted to become the Master of Foreign Languages because of the diversity I could bring when I teach this class. The languages I teach in this class are unique and very rare to be heard or even known of. Students enrolling in my class might learn something they don't know and maybe something they've never even heard of.

If you would be the Master of another subject, what would it be?
If I could be the Master of another subject, it would be of Superhero History. Why? Because the history of superheroes have always intrigued me and I think it'd be a challenge to teach others about different superheroes and their history.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
My favorite thing about teaching is the students. It always makes me so happy to see them attend my class and learn. I find joy in seeing students' assignments whether it's just a short piece or just answering the questions I give them. Another thing I like about teaching is how I could share my information on the particular subject with other people so they could learn as well!

Is there something you think students should know before taking Foreign Languages?
Before taking my class, I think it'd be better to know the basics of different languages, maybe a few words in different languages. I also include the history of some languages so maybe my students could get to know that better before taking my class because it would really help them on this journey through this course.

Conclusion

In conclusion, if you're interested in different languages and already know a bit of the basic, then Foreign Languages is the class for you. It is all about communicating! And who knows, maybe you'll even get to understand certain Alien languages.

Are you curious about what subject we might discuss next time? Then stay on the lookout for any new blogs that will get published in the future.
