"I'm gonna kick her," he grumbled. "I'm gonna kick her so hard, she'll see stars." Jacob stomped towards her sister's room, slamming open the door. He almost bellowed out her name, but stopped when he realised she was not there. Huh, where did she go? He frowned, turning back, walking towards the living room.
"Giana? Did she go out? But... OH!" His eyes widened and a gasp escaped his throat as he ran out the house. How could he have been so stupid? Of course she had not purposely leave a trail of banana peels to make him slip. She was giving him a way to find her. He had taught her that!
If you're ever in trouble, leave a trail of anything within reach. He sighed as he turned towards the backyard, and sure enough... closer to the forest, he found several more banana peels. And a scream, one that he could barely hear but it became louder as he went deeper into the forest.
With a small snap of his fingers, he produced a flame. One that was big enough to injure. There! Giana was cowering against some... monstrosity. Was this another of those creatures from that lab explosion? Without thinking about it, he conjured bigger flames and threw it at the monster, who stumbled in pain. This gave him enough time to run to his sister, carry her and have the both of them run out of there.
