Song Review

Welcome back folks! This week I will be featuring a Stray Kids song, suggested by the cute little Yohime Nura. Remember, if you have a song you'd like me to listen to and feature here, just send it to me VIA Mail Post! So, let's dig in shall we?

Changbin gives the song a head start by starting off with a catchy beat but a rather interesting choice of lyrics. After his few lines are over, Han takes the spotlight from him, causing the flow of the song to switch up a bit. After a couple of lines however, he continues in the original flow of the song, although still with a strange choice of lyrics. Bangchan ends up switching the flow completely to a more soothing note, bringing in the pre-chorus to the song. Seungmin, I.N, and Hyunjin continue the pre-chorus, and then Hyunjin starts the chorus itself. Lee Know, Bangchan, I.N, and Han all continue the chorus, before Felix starts the second verse in his signature deep voice. As the song continues, the boys continue rapping, although with slightly more normal lyrics. I’ll spare you all the rest of the play by play, as the pre-chorus and chorus are the same as before, just with different band members the second time.

With that said and done, I must say that while the chorus of the song throws it off a bit for me personally, it is very catchy. The strange food related lyrics most likely represent their music, although this is up for debate so don’t quote me here. Also, the chorus reminds me of Blackpink’s song “Ddu-du Ddu-du” being that the chorus lyrics are a fairly similar noise that I assume to be banging of sorts. What do you think of the song?
