Hello everyone, welcome to my very first blog post! Today, I come with a new creative idea- quite literally! Welcome to what will now be Maxy’s Art Inn! You can IM or DM me a piece you drew that you want for review, and I’ll give my honest opinion on it, what you can fix, and what you nailed! (Honestly, all art is amazing.)
Alrighty! Now, let's get onto the critique! Honestly- I really love your art. It’s simple, it's beautiful, and it's realistic in a cartoonish style. Some things I recommend can falter depending on the program you use, but I would say to make the lines smoother. The art style is amazing, everything about it is amazing, but the lines do need work.
Another thing, when you add the shadowing add more than one colour. It adds depth to your drawing and makes it look more professional. And when you add darker colours, use the blending tool to, well, blend it! It also makes the shadowing look more realistic.
Now- I have to admit that snakes look really cool! It has shadowing, and the anatomy of the animal in general really shows how much you studied the pose. Same with the woman in the photo. You put the draw at a difficult angle yet you nailed it! I can never do that angle when drawing humans, so I’m extremely impressed!
The colouring was perfect, and I really love your art style! It’s simplistic- yet real. As stated before. Overall, I have to say you’re extremely talented at what you do and you should keep going!
