HARLEY QUINN: Created or born a villain?
The topic of this story is whether Harley Quinn was Created or Born. I believe that she was created by the way she was raised and by the people that entered her life. To me, she represents every person that only ever wanted to be loved. We all have our opinions so please, tell me yours.
Her tragic story started from her childhood as I like to think. I do not know much about her childhood but this is what I know. Let's start with her parents and how they were. Her father was a con man and her mother was an alcoholic. With the little information that we have, she probably was not raised quite well.
The next part was when she got a job as a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum. Joker was under Harley's care, and that was one of the terrible things that happened to her. She began to listen to The Joker and she started to fall in love with him. Later on, she helped him escape, and then they were in a place with many chemicals. He asked her if she would die for him and then she jumped into a pit of chemicals. He jumped in after her and then she wanted to keep proving that she loved him and that she was worth his love. The Joker manipulated, abused, and used her for his own gain. She later realized that he would never love her back and that he was only ever obsessed with Batman. So she decided to leave him and become her own person.
CONCLUSION: You may not think that her being born or created a villain was even a question but some people think that villains are just born that way. While Harley was a murderer, she was turned that way. She was not born a villain but created by the way people treated her. She did these terrible deeds because she was being manipulated and she wanted The Joker to love her back. So in my opinion she just wanted to be loved and while she should be blamed for her actions, she should also be forgiven.
