Metahuman Graduates

Edition #8

Secret Intelligence

Welcome to a new edition of the blog series Metahuman Graduates, where we discuss the possibilities for you once you've graduated from Metropolis University. Today we continue this series with the subject of... Secret Intelligence!

This course is one that will change you both physically and mentally. You have to go through lots of trainings, but you will as well get the theory behind what it's like to find the bad guy and collect information. You will learn how to deal with certain situations and how to not let it affect you. There are lots of different things you will learn, so always keep your notebook open in this course and pay attention to everything around you.

This course is quite special when we're discussing the jobs. There are actually two jobs you can choose between, however, the number of classes you need to take differs. When you want to become a Police Officer and solve crimes as a part of their team, you have to take two years of this class. If you want to become a Secret Agent and master the art of spying, however, then you have to take the full four years of this course. But either way, you will be doing some important work.

Interview with Anatole Belov

You didn't hear this from me (as I'm guessing it might be kind of a secret...), but Anatole is one of the best Secret Agents there is. Hence why he is teaching this subject! Whether you want to become an Officer or an Agent like him, he will teach you everything.

Why did you decide to become the Master of Secret Intelligence?
I decided to become the Master of Secret Intelligence because I personally found the subject to sound incredibly interesting - both the job opportunities, but also the lesson opportunities that I could create.

What is your favourite thing about being a Graduate Master?
Hmm, I think there are a lot of things that I like about being a Graduate Master. One I would like to point out is the contact and questions I get from students taking my class - I always find it interesting how they wish to solve the lessons, and the questions they might have in connection to that.

What makes Secret Intelligence different from any other class?
Firstly, Secret Intelligence is a rather long course, but you do not necessarily have to take the whole course. It is put into two parts - one focusing on becoming a part of the police force, while the second part continues to educate you to become a Secret Agent. In that way, you could say it is a two-in-one course.

What do you think people with the job of Secret Agent and Police Officer can and should contribute to the Metahuman world?
I believe that this is a very important job that a person can hold - both Secret Agent but also a Police Officer. As a Police Officer, you can contribute in many ways by upholding the peace, ensuring that rules are followed and being in contact and helping other people. The job as a Secret Agent might be much more focused, and for that, you can take your own path - whether you wish to contribute with a bit of chaos or whether you wish to follow the rules and ensure that our country is safe. There are plenty of things and opportunities that you can take.

In one sentence, why should people take Secret Intelligence?
I believe that people should take Secret Intelligence because it is a creative course where you can get to express yourself and build your character through a large amount of different practical lessons

Is there anything people should know before taking your subject?
Well, it is always great to point out that the course builds a lot on character building and definitely encourages everyone who takes it to use to continue building their characters, but there is no requirement for it. Have fun with it and take it as it comes!

You've already reached the end of today's blog post. This one was all about Art History and culture - a graduate class for the people who want to solve crimes and learn how to spy - but who knows what graduate class we might discuss next time? Stay on the lookout for the next edition!
