Metahuman Graduates

Edition #11

Cybersecurity

Welcome to a new (and the last) edition of the blog series Metahuman Graduates, where we discuss the possibilities for you once you've graduated from Metropolis University. Today we end this series with the subject of... Cybersecurity!

When you hear the name Cybersecurity, you might already have an idea of what this course is about, but it is most likely much more than that. You will learn all about network safety, all the different types of data and how to prevent leaks, and you will even look into cybercriminals. This way you'll learn how to deal with different types of hacking methods and how to prevent criminals from reaching the data of any Metahuman.

After two years of this course, there are two job opportunities for you. You can become an expert hacker, meaning that no program or system is difficult for you to go through, you are a true genius regarding those. Or you can become a Digital Forensics Analyst, meaning that you will collect and analyse evidence to maybe even help solve crimes. Both of these jobs can be used to help metahumans for the better (or maybe hack into their systems and do some villainish things) and make sure everything on the internet can be done safely.

Interview with Yuna Black

As the substitute Master of the Cybersecurity course, Yuna most definitely knows a lot regarding the subject. Which isn't weird, if you consider the fact that she is an Expert Hacker and thus perfectly knows what is going on in this technology world.

What would you say is the most fun thing about graduate classes?
The most fun thing is probably that you get to learn a lot of different things, both within your comfort zone but also outside of it. Besides this, you are sure to learn something new!

What makes Cybersecurity different from any other class?
Not only does it have a lot of different elements of learning that other classes might not have, it also encourages you to think outside the box. There may not always be a correct answer or a correct way of doing things, so you can be creative with what you decide to do.

What do you think people with the job of Expert Hacker or Digital Forensics Analyst can and should contribute to the Metahuman world?
People with these titles are uttermost important to have within the Metahuman world - they have abilities and knowledge which can help solve most crimes and crisis situations, so I certainly suggest that those with these titles help within these fields. Besides that, there is no limit to what you can do with these titles.

In one sentence, why should people take Cybersecurity
I believe people should take Cybersecurity because it is an interesting subject where you are sure to learn something new!

Is there anything people should know before taking this subject?
Make sure you bring your creativity hat - as said before, the sky is the limit!

You've already reached the end of today's blog post. This one was all about Cybersecurity - a graduate class for the people who are interested in technology and how to deal with this.
This was the very last edition of 'Metahuman Graduates', hopefully you enjoyed learning all about the different classes. Which one are you going to take?
