Nora West-Allen: XS, The Fastest Woman Alive
Who is Nora West-Allen?
Nora West-Allen, also known by her alias XS, was the daughter of Barry Allen, who was the Flash, and Iris West-Allen. Not only that, this woman inherited the Speed Force abilities that her father owned, making her the fastest woman alive, as the title suggested. Aside from being known as XS, her other aliases also included: Lady Flash, Jenni Ognats, and Nora Moy. She also had a brother: Bart Allen.
The History of Nora West-Allen
Nora West-Allen Going to The Past
In 2049, Nora traveled back to 2017, being manipulated by Eobard Thawne (Reverse-Flash, remember him?). She attended Barry and Iris’ wedding as a caterer, and she even talked to him there. Nora never got to meet Barry in her actual life before going back to the past because Barry disappeared after Nora was born. She was also seen participating in some other events in the past that were related to her parents. One time, she even helped Barry punch a falling satellite that could possibly destroy Central City.
Nora West-Allen Becoming DC's XS
During her time in the past, Nora also met the members of Team Flash. Knowing that she came from the future, Barry wanted to send her back, but she had a device that stopped her from doing so. Something that Barry did not expect for sure, because apparently, she wanted to stay longer in the past to spend time with her father.
So, Team Flash let her stay. Since she already got the Speed Force powers, they named her XS. So no, she did not get the ability after going to the past. She already had it even before that.
Negative Speed Force
Eventually, Barry found out that Nora was “working with” Eobard Thawne, and he forced her back to her own timeline, even though she pleaded him not to. However, she managed to get back to the past … by connecting to the Negative Speed Force. Later on, she managed to gain Team Flash’s trust again. She and Barry went back to the future to fight Reverse-Flash. Unfortunately, Thawne already created a new timeline by then and since Nora refused to save herself using the Negative Speed Force, she was erased from existence. What a tragic ending!

Nora West-Allen’s Speed Force Conduit in the DC Universe
Her connection to the Speed Force allowed her to obtain accelerated healing, enhanced senses, phasing, superhuman stamina, vortex creations, speed force aura (which also includes superhuman durability, and the most obvious one: superhuman speed (which also includes superhuman agility and superhuman reflexes).
Nora West-Allen’s Other Powers in the DC Universe
Aside from the powers obtained from the Speed Force, Nora West-Allen also had time travel ability, chronokinesis, psychic link, and electrokinesis (which also includes electro-blast). Suffice to say, her powers are very much related to Elemental league, especially if we only see psychic links and electrokinesis.
Nora’s Abilities
Out of her superpowers, Nora also had some abilities that we must adore. She is good at criminology, forensic science, deception (not sure whether this is a good thing or not), basic hand-to-hand combat, and journalism. She was also known to speak multiple languages, which is another plus point for her.
Nora’s Equipment
Of course, as a starter, she had her XS Suit. Aside from that, she also had the Mobile Gideon Unit. Another thing that she had which was not related to her powers and abilities at all, was her journal. Not sure what was written inside, but there must be some interesting stuff! Tea, anyone?
