The Penguin is a crime drama television miniseries where it shows Colin Farrell, the eponymous gangster, as the main character who tries to gain power within the Gotham’s City criminal underworld. This miniseries was created by Lauren LeFranc and it’s been on HBO for seven episodes now and an eight is soon to come, so for those who are a true fan of Detective Comics, make sure to watch this miniseries!The Penguin as a DC Show
The Penguins's Connection with The Batman Saga
The Penguin miniseries served to bridge the gap between The Batman and The Batman - Part II. Therefore, this series is a part of The Batman Saga. Its premiere also was held one week after the events of The Batman, it even borrows several things and elements from the Batman comic Dark Victory.First DC Studios’ Project
The Penguin also became the first project that was fully produced by DC Studios. It even became the first release under the “DC Elseworlds” banner and developed as a Max original series before it was rebranded as an HBO original. Synopsis of The Penguin Episodes
The Penguin miniseries has released season one which has eight episodes inside. We will give you a little bit of information about all of them! We will do it with as little spoilers as possible... but there might be some if you want to go into this series fully blind!1. “After Hours” released on September 19, 2024

Season One of The Penguin
For the first season of this miniseries, it tells about the quest of Oz Cobb’s to control Gotham City. Oz tried to fill the emptiness in Gotham City left by Carmine Falcone, who was already dead. But the most important thing, he has to fight against his enemies to be able to have full control on Gotham City. He has to face Carmine’s children, Sofia Falcone, Aberto Falcone, the Maroni family (led by Salvatore Maroni), and Oz’s own demoralizing reputation as “The Penguin”.Episode 1
A week after Carmine Falcone was found dead, Oz is caught by Alberto Falcone, Carmine’s son and heir-apparent. Turns out Alberto has a plan to revolutionize the drug operation, but then Oz shoots him dead. Oz was in danger because Alberto’s sister, Sofia Falcone, suspects Oz for Alberto’s disappearance. Sofia later tortures Oz but gets distracted by Alberto’s body, which makes Oz released and together with Vic trying to take control of the Falcone crime family.Episode 2
Oz and Maroni continue to take control of the Falcone crime family and its drop shipment. During this episode, there is so much going on, from the murder of Ervad, the framing of Sofia, the grave digging for Ervad and Castillo, and many more!
Episode 3
Sofia introduces Oz to a new drug in the Falcone drug operation named “Bliss”. They make a pitch to the Triads, and they join the business between Sofia and Oz. At that time, Vic chooses Oz and stays with him, but since Sofia and Oz are held by the Maronis, Vic and Oz try to escape and leave Sofia with the Maronis alone.Episode 4
Sofia meets the reporter who is a serial killer that killed her mother. She turned into having a mental breakdown and believing she can’t trust anybody, especially when Oz has murdered Alberto, his brother.Episode 5
Oz and his crew kidnap Maroni’s son as an exchange to the Bliss shipment. Then, a fire was there and activated the chemical extinguishing sprays. It destroys most of the Bliss. Oz decided to use an abandoned underground railway as the new base of regrowing the Bliss with Vic.Episode 6
Oz has finally grown his crew and the Bliss in the underground railway. Sofia and the Maronis try to kill several Bliss dealers. After that, Oz sets a meeting with other gangs to convince them to work together against the Gigantes, Maronis, and upper elite.Episode 7
Oz leaves his brother in a sewer tunnel when he was a child. In the present, he found an injured Vic and said that Sofia had kidnapped Francis. He chased them and Maroni died of a heart attack when fighting with Oz. After that, Sofia bombs Oz’s base and kills his entire crew.Episode 8
