Song of the Week
Edition 11

Hey Metahumans! My name is Amethyst Jackson and in this bi-weekly blog, called Song of the Week, we will talk about music. Through this blog, I will take you on a journey to explore songs from every genre of music and see how they relate to the DC Universe. Let's get into it for today! This week's song is...

Legends

Kelsea Ballerina

We were golden, we were fire, we were magic
Yeah and they all knew our names all over town
We had it made in the middle of the madness
We were neon in a gray cloud

Yeah, we wrote our own story
Full of blood sweat and heartbeats
We didn't do it for the fame or the glory
But we went down in history

....

Trivia

This song was released back in 2017.
It shows the real vibes of what music was populair back in 2017.
The song mostly gained it's populairity through YouTube.
MacKenzie Ziegler covered things song, which is quite a populair cover as well.
This song falls underneath the umbrella of country pop.

What is Country Pop music?

The genre of this song can be described as country pop - which may sound like a bit of a weird genre. This genre mostly came from the country genre, from the members here. Some of them started going more toward the pop genre, but were still described as country. This is where this genre came from. It can thus be seen as a blend of the two.

Related to the Leagues

Okay, today's relation to the leagues is definitely going to be a bit farfetched - but how about Cosmic? Not only does this song talk about legends (and for people who have never seen the aliens, they might be legends), but it is also so unique and one of a kind with it's pop country (country pop?) genre, which is rare. How about we than even match it with the Otherkind race?

Thank you so much everyone for reading this week's edition! If you have any song suggestions or just want to share your opinion - comments on this article or send them to me!

Many Meta Thanks,

Amethyst Jackson
