Detective Comics #443: Overview
Detective comics #443 is a compilation story of different heroes in different situations, as the appearance of heroes can be seen on the cover. This series with the first volume was uploaded in November 1974 by the executive editor named Archie Goodwin. The cool cover was also done by the amazing artists named Jim Aparo, Tatjana Wood, and Gaspar Saladino. The comics were also done by so many different people that only work in one story. Without further ado, let's get to the details of each story!
Detective Comics #443: The Stories
Detective comics #443 was made to feature several heroes, which are Batman, Manhunter, The Spectre, Green Lantern, the Creeper, and Batman with different tragedies happening. In one volume, it contains six different stories and titles. Let’s get to it one by one!
Batman and Manhunter: "Gotterdammerung"
Synopsis
Batman and Manhunter were working together to take down the Council. Batman proved himself as a good partner for Manhunter during the fight. Unfortunately, Manhunter had to sacrifice himself to beat and destroy the Council. Manhunter did it, but he also died. Commissioner Gordon, Asano Nitobe, Christine St. Clair, Kolu Mbeya, Ndele Kshumbo, and Mole can be seen in the story, along with the Council, Anatol Mykros, and Enforcer as the villain.

The Spectre: "Dr. Mephisto"
Synopsis
Dr. Mephisto was a magician who got interrupted by Blue Flame when doing the attraction. Apparently, Blue Flame was robbing the rich patrons on the stage. Jim Corrigan, the detective, investigated the crime scene and the robber. Jim and the Spectre capture Blue Flame together but they fail. They found another place where Blue Flame trying to rob again and managed to reveal that Blue Flame apparently is Dr. Mephisto. So, other than Jim Corrigan and the Spectre, we can also see Police Chief and Mrs. Pemberton in the story, along with Blue Flame and Jimmy Groggins as the villain.

Green Lantern: "The End of Sports!"
Synopsis
Green Lantern named Alan Scott was watching a hockey game when suddenly, one of the players was unconscious after being hit by the explosion from the puck. Apparently, the players have been gassed. Green Lantern found out who was responsible for that, and it turns out the Sportsmaster did that. He also left a note that “This is the beginning of the end of sports” and left it at sporting events. This happens in every sport event, but in the end, Green Lantern managed to capture the Sportsmaster. In this story, the appearance of Jean Taylor and Gotham's Mayor can be seen throughout the story with Sportsmaster as the villain.

The Creeper: "The Coming of the Creeper!"
Synopsis
Jack Ryder, former TV host assigned to investigate Professor Yatz’s case. Yatz is a scientist captured by criminals and will be turned over to the Soviet Union. Before, Jack followed Yatz in a costume and found out that Yatz heals his wound with a special formula. That formula allows Jack to dematerialize and rematerialize his costume. At the end, Yatz was shot dead, while Jack defeats the hoods and spies and goes under the name “the Creeper”. In this story, Bill Brane, Professor Yatz, Dr. Clayton Wetley, Pete, and Mr. Pell can be seen with Angel Devlin, Vince, Charley, and Major Smej as the villain.

Batman: “The Secret of Hunter's Inn!”
Synopsis
Batman, Robin, and Alfred were working together to capture the infamous robber, Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Hunter’s Inn. They failed to capture the criminal, but they succeeded on the second attempt and sent the twins to the police. Other than Batman, Robin and Alfred Beagle, we can also see John Gottrox and Soup McConell as the supporting characters. Meanwhile Tweedledum, Tweedledee, Sapper, and Legs are the villains.
