Tamaraneans: The Gold-Skinned Language Learners

You might be familiar with the term Tamaraneans, especially for the Hybrid people. However, do you actually know what they mean or do? Tamaraneans don’t just suddenly show up on Earth. They came from another planet, actually, and in our universe now, we don’t see a lot of pure Tamaraneans, only the half ones. Even so, we still wish that you would read through this article to know more about them!

What Are Tamaraneans?

Tamaraneans, also called Tamaranians, are the race originated from the planet Tamaran. They are humanoids with orange skin (sometimes it looks golden) and red hair. They have a lot of superpowers, but mainly, they are stronger than humans in many possible ways, and they are able to fly and learn languages very quickly. These powers are possible through solar or ultraviolet radiation absorption on their body.

Some Notable Tamaraneans

Some of the Tamaraneans that you might know, first of all, is Starfire a.k.a. Princess Koriand’r of the Royal Family of Tamaran. We also have Blackfire a.k.a. Princess Komand’r, Starfire’s sister. Next to them, there’s Karrad, once betrothed to Starfire. We also have two of the Green Lanterns, Alisand’r and Tyran’r. There are more known Tamaraneans, but these are some of the most famous and important ones.

The Origin of Tamaraneans

Tamaraneans didn’t originally come from the planet Tamaran, but rather, the planet Okaara. They descended from a feline race (which is why they look like cats too) and worship the goddess X’Hal. However, why or how they moved to Tamaran was unknown. They could either be brought there by another party or migrated by themselves.

This race lived peacefully and mostly made decisions based on their emotions, not reasons. Unfortunately, they had to take part in a war when they were forced by the Citadel Empire. A war between Tamaraneans and the Citadel lasted for more than a century until one day, Komand’r betrayed her people. She revealed military secrets to the Citadel, causing the Tamaraneans to reach the edge of extinction. Koriand’r played a huge role here: she was given to the Citadel as a part of a peace agreement. However, she managed to escape to Earth after some years of captivity.

Afterwards, Tamaraneans attempted to survive by migrating to other planets. One of the planets known is called Rann.

Tamaraneans’ Powers

Tamaraneans have a lot of cool powers! These powers mainly came from their physiology that is able to absorb radiation. But what does the radiation provide them, exactly?

All Tamaraneans are humanoid with orange skin, emerald eyes without pupils, and reddish brown (or brownish red) hair. When they fly, their hair would emit a glow that makes the hair look like it’s on fire. So cool!

Solar/Ultraviolet Metabolization of the Tamaraneans

They are able to absorb stellar radiation, and this ability provides them a lot of cool powers, such as:

Flight: Obviously, they can fly. With style too!
Interstellar Travel: Just like any other aliens in the Cosmic league, Tamaraneans can travel through space without any sort of protection.
Superhuman Durability: Tamaraneans can stand any extreme conditions. Extreme heat, extreme cold, they’d be fine!
Superhuman Speed, which includes Superhuman Agility and Superhuman Reflexes.

Superhuman Strength
Tactile Linguistic Assimilation: This is probably their most interesting power. Tamaraneans are able to learn the language of other people through physical touches. The most effective way to grasp a language for them would be through lip to lip contact!
Some Extra Potential Powers of Tamaraneans
Thermal and Radiation Immunity: Even in their depowered state, they are still able to go near a sun and restore themselves.
Advanced Longevity: Some Tamaraneans can age up to 10 billion years!
Claws & Fangs: Early Tamaraneans looked more like felines rather than humans, and they used to have sharp claws and fangs.
Clairvoyance: This enhanced sense allows them to see through the disguises people wear and the presence of another entity possessing a person.
Starbolt Projection: A couple Tamaraneans are able to blast starbolt energy through their hands. They can also shape and reform the energy, blast the energy through their eyes, and make explosions using this energy.
Starbolt Energy Transference: Tamaraneans can also transfer their energy to other Tamaraneans for the purpose of recharging through physical touches.
Self-Sustenance: With enough solar energy, a Tamaranean can go on living without the need of eating, sleeping, or even breathing.
Nuclear Pyrokinesis: Some Tamaraneans are able to create fireballs and even explosions.
Bio-Fission: Some Tamaraneans are able to create duplicates of themselves.
Telempathy: The combination of Telepathy and Empathy. This power allows Tamaraneans to control a person using mental connection through their hearts and minds.
Power Replication: Tamaraneans are able to copy unique solar/stellar/ultraviolet energy from other Tamaraneans.
Energy Physiology: This power includes Power Distribution, Healing, and Possession.
