Song of the Week
Edition 20

Hey Metahumans! My name is Amethyst Jackson and in this bi-weekly blog, called Song of the Week, we will talk about music. Through this blog, I will take you on a journey to explore songs from every genre of music and see how they relate to the DC Universe. Let's get into it for today! This week's song is...

Here Comes The Sun

The Beatles

I get up, and nothin' gets me down
Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

....

Trivia

This song was released in 1969.
It is from the album called "Abbey Road".
It was released on September 26th.
It is a super iconic song.

Influence on the Decade

This song was specifically written to express Harrison's relief after The Beatles had delt with several businesses and legal issues. It was quite a difficult time for them which was proven to overshadow their creativity. To celebrate that, this song was written - showing that they still had it within them.

Related to the Leagues

Another one that might not be super easy to relate to the leagues - but I did it! Because this song definitely relates to either the Cosmic League as a whole, with them being from space just like the sun - or to anyone with the power of photokinesis, which is related to light like the sun!

Thank you so much everyone for reading this week's edition! If you have any song suggestions or just want to share your opinion - comments on this article or send them to me!

Many Meta Thanks,

Amethyst Jackson
