Gods and Monsters’ Story
Synopsis In The Movie
The “Project Fair Play”
In another reality, the Justice League—Wonder Woman (Bekka), Superman (Hernan Guerra, son of General Zod), and Batman (Kirk Langstrom)—rule as a powerful but hated force. President Amanda Waller starts an investigation when several scientists are killed using methods similar to those used by the League. Batman links the killings to a backup plan called "Project Fair Play," which was developed by leading scientists, including his buddy Dr. Will Magnus. But Magnus is the only one who survives as robot assassins attack the scientists.
The Betrayal
Superman discovers from Lex Luthor that Magnus is truly Zod's son and that Fair Play is intended to stop the League while the League takes Magnus in for protection. After Luthor's facility is destroyed by a robot assassin, Waller launches an army with red sun weapons in revenge. Batman discovers Magnus's betrayal while Superman and Wonder Woman battle the attack. Magnus, who has been resurrected by his robot invention Platinum, admits that he planned the entire situation in order to use his Metal Men to explode a Nanite bomb that would control humanity in a single mind.
Changing in The Course of Events
Luthor comes back, reveals Magnus's real plan, and helps in changing the course of events. Wonder Woman kills Platinum, Superman burns the merged Metal Men below, and Batman beats Magnus, who then takes his own life. Wonder Woman and Luthor leave to explore other worlds, but the League is cleared of any guilt. By providing Superman with facts about Krypton, Luthor motivates him and Batman to dedicate themselves to leading humanity with a higher cause.
