Graxosians: an Elf-Like Cosmic
The Graxosians or Graxonites
Graxosian! Who is a Graxosian among us? We may have met many Graxosians at Metropolis University, a Cosmic race that resembles an elf-like humanoid species with golden skin and pointed ears. If you find someone with this specific appearance, then you must meet a Graxosian!
The Living Place
Graxosians, also known as Graxonites, are a race coming from the Graxos star system in Space Sector 2815. They have several home planets, including Graxos III, Graxos IV, and Graxos V. Even though they are coming from outside of the Earth, the planet is still inside of our Galaxy, the Milky Way.
Graxosians live divided into the three planets mentioned. There are differences in how Graxosians live on these planets. People of Graxos III live in the jungle and have to adapt themselves to nature. Meanwhile, totally opposite, the people of Graxos IV and Graxos V live more advancedly. The planet has very good technology and civilized cultures. Perhaps the condition might be more technologically advanced than on Earth.
Overall Appearance
The Graxosians have four limbs, ten fingers, ten toes, golden skin, and pointed ears, which overall appearance looks like an elf. Its overall body type is also humanoid, so it still looks similar to humans in overall appearance.
Graxosian People
There are several known people from the Graxosian race in the DC Comics. Mostly, the Graxosians are associated with the Green Lantern line of comic titles. Their first appearance was in Tales of the Green Lantern Corps #1, which was published in May 1981, specifically in a story called “Challenge!”.
People From Graxos III
One of the examples is Karu-Sil, a person coming from Graxos III. She is an alien supervillain who was recruited into the Sinestro Corps. After her parents were murdered, Karu-Sil was taken by a group of beasts. In that time, she decided to fit in with the group and casually scarred her own face. Someone from the Rrab family assumed that Karu-Sil is in danger, therefore they killed the beasts and rescued her, even though the reality is totally opposite. Because of that, Karu-Sil now swears vengeance on the Rrab family for killing her group.
People from Graxos IV
Above, the Rrab family has been mentioned, who tried to save Karu-Sil even though she doesn’t want to be saved. The Rrab family itself consists of Fentara Rrab, Blish Rrab (Fentara’s brother), and Arisia Rrab (Fentara’s daughter), who are people coming from Graxos IV. Graxos IV has had several of its native members join the Green Lantern Corps, including the Rrab family.
The Rrab family serves as the Green Lantern for their home sector, specifically Arisia Rrab. Before, a long line of the Rrab family had served in the Green Lantern Corps, including Santara and Marata, before continuing to Fentara after the death of the long line. After Fentara died, Blish Rrab became the new Green Lantern, and the last one is Arisia Rrab when Blish is killed.
