Superman 2025: It’s Finally Here!
The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here. The new Superman 2025 movie has been out for almost a week! So, of course, there is only one thing we (as huge DC nerds) can do. And that is discussed in this movie. Don’t worry, we will get into it as spoiler-free as possible! We will mostly discuss actors/actresses and the ratings it has received so far - nothing you won’t have seen in the trailer. So let’s get into it, hmm?The Premise of Superman 2025
To give you a quick overview of what this movie will be about, let’s quote the exact premise for you:When Superman gets drawn into conflicts at home and abroad, his actions are questioned, giving tech billionaire Lex Luthor the opportunity to get the Man of Steel out of the way for good. Will intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Superman's four-legged companion, Krypto, be able to help him before it's too late?
The movie sounds like your average Superman story. Bringing back characters we know and really love (especially Kyrpto, as proven by our survey a while back); and even a story we’re aware of. Yet, James Gunn has promised that this movie is different - way more comic book accurate and one with twists the fans did not see coming. And we believe that is something we can indeed rely on and expect for this one!
The General Opinion on Superman 2025
Rotten Tomatoes scores of Superman 2025
When checking Rotten Tomatoes, it turns out that the rating for the movie is significantly high. 83% of the critics gave a positive review, which means that the score is fresh and very good. However, it is nothing compared to the rating of the general viewer - which is 93%, even higher. Meaning it is a rather hot movie at the moment.
The General Reviews of the new DC Movie
To look at some more specific reviews, people think the new Superman (David Corenswet) is doing a rather good job at taking on the mantle. It is, after all, significantly hard to take on the role. People were also fans of the new colour theme this movie brings - it being a rather bright movie. It truly captured what the Superman comics feel like, according to most.However, some people did state that a bit of cohesion was lacking from time to time. That some plot points didn’t feel necessary. It could have been connected better. Yet, it didn’t seem to take away from the movie as a whole. Which does make one curious if they haven’t seen it yet!
The Cast of Superman 2025
Briefly, we already touched upon David Corenswet being the new Superman - but who else is in the cast? Well, there is Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The three of them form kind of the main cast of the movie. However, there’s also Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, and even some other (returning) faces entered the cast!So, have you seen the movie already?
