Song of the Week
Edition 27

Hey Metahumans! My name is Amethyst Jackson and in this bi-weekly blog, called Song of the Week, we will talk about music. Through this blog, I will take you on a journey to explore songs from every genre of music and see how they relate to the DC Universe. Let's get into it for today! This week's song is...

How to Save a Life

The Fray

Step one, you say, "We need to talk"
He walks, you say, "Sit down, it's just a talk"
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through

Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left, and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

....

Trivia

This song was released in 2005.
It is a very slow but very well thought out song.
It took over a year for The Fray to write, record, and release "How to Save a Life".

Influence on the Decade

The Fray’s influence on pop rock and alternative music happened overnight due to the success of the band prompting the producers of The Vampire Diaries to use another song called "Never Say Never".
