Detective Comics #1000: Overview
Detective Comics #1000 is an issue of the series Detective Comics (Volume 1) that contains the stories of so many superheroes and supervillains. This series, with the cover date of May 2019, and published on March 27, 2019, was created by the executive editor named Bobbie Chase, and the cover artists who are Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair. With these cool people working behind the comic, it is certainly something worth reading. So, without further ado, let's get to the details of each story!
Detective Comics #1000: The Stories
Detective Comics #1000 was made to feature so many heroes and villains. This edition contains 12 different stories with a total of 96 pages. In short, Detective Comics #1000 explains Batman’s longest case, where the story will take the reader to see Batman’s past, present, and future. In addition to a sensational epilogue by the appearance of the deadly Arkham Knight. Of course, by its different story and synopsis, it will be interesting to read!

The Character of The Story

Aside from the title of each story, several characters also appear, aside from Batman, that become the main part of this edition. Here is the list of the characters that you need to be aware of!
Batman's Longest Case
Batman mentioned to the Guild of Detection that he will face Court of Owls, Ra's al Ghul, Riddler, Giambattista della Porta, and Francis Galton.
Manufacture for Use
With Alfred Pennyworth on Batman’s side, there is a time where Batman flashback mentioning to the past’s villains, such as Bane, Catwoman, Clayface, Firefly, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Mister Freeze, Mister Zsasz, Onomatopoeia, Scarecrow, The Joker, The Penguin, and The Ventriloquist.
The Legend of Knute Brody
Batman faces the same villain, starting from Harley Quinn, Kite-Man, Mister Freeze, Poison Ivy, Riddler, The Joker, The Penguin, to the Wonderland Gang.

Mainly focuses on Batman and Alfred Pennyworth.
Return to Crime Alley
Batman and Leslie Thompkins flashback to Joe Chill.

Batman, with Dick Grayson and Commissioner Gordon, faces the League of Assassins, Ra’s al Ghul, and Tan Lujun.
I Know
In this story, Batman faces Oswald Cobblepot with many other characters mentioned in the story.
The Last Crime in Gotham
In this story, there are Batman and Alfred Pennyworth, with several other characters appearing in Batman’s dream.
The Precedent
Batman is still with Alfred Pennyworth, and also Robin, with several characters that appear in a vision and in a photograph, both the heroes and the villains. is reprinted in Robin: 80 Years of the Boy Wonder: The Deluxe Edition.
Batman's Greatest Case
The same as previous, Batman mostly does flashbacks and reflects on other characters, both heroes and villains.
Pinups
There are Batman with Alfred Pennyworth and the Batman family, so it illustrates Batman’s villains, allies, and parents. Villains such as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are also appeared.
Medieval
This is the first appearance of the deadly Arkham Knight, appearing in the last story of the edition. This story is reprinted in Legends of the DC Universe: Doug Mahnke.
