Have you wanted to apply for a student job, but you're not entirely sure what the different job do? Then, you have come to the right place! I, Christopher Springer, have interviewed a few students, all with different jobs, so you can get an insight on what the jobs look like, and might even decide on which job you want to apply for.
Esther Paradox: "I am the Keeper of Meta Human Transcripts. I look at my assigned teams profiles to see if they are breaking any rules as well as helping other with their transcripts."
What kind of person do you think would be right for the job?
"I think someone who is very creative and very on top of things would be great because it takes time to comb through everything as well as someone who is creative can help others with their transcripts."
Roxy Mcknight: "My job is Public Relations Officer and I work on a blog that will get "Guess the Song." And I think it will be very fun."
Do you have any advice for people who are considering applying for the team?
"First answer honestly the requirements. Be a good role model, and last but not least have fun and spread joy. It is professional not as difficult as it looks. If you do not know how to write your application and need help, then it is to ask someone for help. I did and now I have work :)"
Pohaikealoha Kahale: "I'm a Graphic Designer. I have mostly been working on drawing the shop items along with the others on the Grey team"
Do you have any advice for people who are considering to apply for the team?
"If you want to, if you're interested, go for it. The worst that can happen is you aren't hired, the best is that you are."
Why did you choose to apply to be a Graphics Designer?
"There were open spots and I really wanted to stretch my art skills"
Flint Weston: "My job on World of MetaHumans is a reporter for The Metropolis Daily. I write fun fact articles about other Villain's such as myself, while others have different points of interest to write about."
What kind of person do you think would be right for the job?
"The kind of person I feel would be right for the job is someone who is not afraid to get creative and come up with ideas. Someone who really has the time to get things done and is reliable."
Lucas Pullin: "The Legionaries are people who are responsible for the security and monitor that students of the University must be watching-controlling to behave correctly."
Do you have any advice for people who are considering applying for the team?
"Of course, I have it! I would recommend that when applying to work, you should try to keep thinking like a Legionary, see the point of view as if you were a kind of guardian in this place."
Asher Ryswell: "I am a Master’s Aide for Superpower Training, which is a job that I particularly enjoy. It is my responsibility to correct any assignments that need extra help. This includes assignments with varied grades, ones that have been sent back with a report, or ones that have taken too long to be graded naturally. I really enjoy reading through other peoples assignments, as you get to develop a sense of understanding for one’s character and what they stand for. It is honestly a pretty cool thing to witness."
What kind of person do you think would be right for the job?
"In order to be an MA, you need to be reliable and a hard worker. There may be a rather difficult assignment to correct, and when I say this I don’t mean the content. I am talking about the situation itself. There may be times where you do not know how to go about correcting the issue, but by working hard you will find a way to solve the problem. I also believe that you just show excellent leadership skills, as sometimes you have to enforce the rules. Standing up to your peers can be rather difficult, but you must have the ability protect the rules the best you can."
Ellaya Brandt: "My job is being part of the Operations Team! We generally make mayhem- I mean, create opportunities for Metropolis University students and staff to get involved. Causing chaos- *cough* thinking of fun ways to capture others' imagination is what we strive for! We channel our creativity and imagination into planning metahuman plots, events, contests, etc. for everyone to enjoy. Already, something major has started to take shape... I can't give too many details, but just know that something is on the horizon. ;)"
Why did you choose to apply to be an Operations Officer?
"Firstly, having the opportunity to make people feel like they belong somewhere is so important to me. I applied with the main goal of using my strong writing skills and wild imagination for the benefit of others! Also, this job is something that I'm super excited about because of the infinite possibilities that I can help bring to life. Should Metropolis University be attacked by crazy androids or zombie pigmen? (Just kidding! Probably.) Additionally, I wanted to be able to work with a team- having this purpose makes things more enjoyable. Furthermore (last but not least), I applied because Commander Valencia Jareau is absolutely amazing. Shout-out to you, boss!"
Azalea Deveraux: "As an Archivist, I write and maintain the books in the site Archives. Though the selection is small at the moment, the Goldfish team is very hard at work, putting out new books for our heroes and villains!"
Why did you choose to apply to be an Archivist?
"I decided to apply to be an Archivist when the lovely Talia Mayim put out the word of needing help on her lovely team, and explained what we would be doing. I love writing, and I couldn't ignore an opportunity to help out, so I decided to apply to be one of Talia's Goldfishies... Now, we also have Lowri and Sotheby, and we will soon have a full team once a new member is chosen and hired!"
