Metahuman Classes
Edition #16
Combat
Hello, Metahumans! Welcome to a new edition of 'Metahuman Classes'. In this blog, we talk about the different classes we have on our site. This week we'll talk about...
Combat!
Why do we learn it?
Does this really need to be explained? Because I feel like it is quite obvious why combat is such an important subject: you need the skills whenever you come in a fight as a superhero or -villain. It is definitely not a weird sight to see these heroes and villains in combat and you will probably find yourself in such a situation too, in the future. And well, combat class will be there to teach you everything you will need to know for moments like this!
What do we learn?
Because Combat is a class that starts in the fourth year, it is a very serious subject and certainly not for students who like to take it easy. In this class, you will be studying everything that has to do with combat, from the best fighting stances to learning how to fight with (or without) your powers, and learning even more about weapons - building up from the things you've learned in Weaponomics.
Interviews
We can't talk about Combat without getting
Joshua Song here, am I right? This is why I have an interview with them for you!
Joshua, Master's Aide of Combat
For some time now, Joshua has been the Master's Aide of Combat. Currently he is all by himself, seeing that this subject is still looking for a Master.
Interview:
Why did you choose to become the Master's Aide of Combat instead of another subject?
Aside from being a health nerd, like I was in the past, Combat and knowing how to defend yourself is just as important. The reason why, is if there ever was a situation that involved self-defense, for either yourself or a complete stranger, it's necessary. I wouldn't want to see a child in danger, or an elderly man in danger and just stand there not sure what to do if I didn't know how to fight. I think helping people learn how to fight and use combat will help others learn the same values.
If you would be the Master's Aide of another subject, what would it be?
If I could be the master's aide for another subject, I would have to go with either Weaponomics, Hero Advisory, or Forensics. I don't know which one I would pick overall, but those are my top 3 others.
What is your favorite thing about being a Master's Aide?
I think my favorite thing about being a master's aide, is helping others learn the values of combat and watching them grow as heroes or villains.
What is your best tip for students making Combat homework?
I think the best tip would be to practice hard to ensure the best outcome. Study and make sure you have all the knowledge you need for the full potential of all combat subjects. And always remember, to focus 100% on the combat at hand against your opponents to ensure victory.
Is there something you think students should know before taking Combat?
Don't think of combat solely as a way to know how to kick butt, it's also a defence mechanism that helps when one is in need.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Combat is a subject on which you need to work hard, but certainly in a fun way. It is not just about how to win, but also about how to defend yourself.
Are you curious about what subject we might discuss next time? Then stay on the lookout for any new blogs that will get published in the future.
