Kryptonians are an extraterrestrial humanoid species of beings who originate on the planet Krypton. Despite looking human, their biology is far more advanced than that of Earth based humans since they had the ability to use energy in more ways than humans could. The source of their immense energy metabolizing abilities lies in their cells, which are said to be the greatest organic power storage units in the known galaxy.

Many Kryptonians also have developed superpowers such as super strength, super speed, flight, invulnerability, heat vision, x-ray vision and super-breath.

‣ KRYPTONIAN'S ENERGY SOURCES

Earth-One

In Earth-One, Kryptonains have the ability to directly absorb and process yellow solar radation through their body, giving them true infinite power levels when fully charged. Red sun radation would directly interfere with absorption and drain Earth-One Krypotonians of all their powers.

Earth-Two

In the Earth-Two dimension, Kryptonians' bodies had advanced to Kryptonians' bodies are advanced to the point where they can produce energy on their own. They can naturally produce and maintain the power levels regardless of ot he yellow or red sun system.

Earth-Three

Earth-Three dimension Kryptonians gain their power through the Kryptonite rather than yellow sun. They lose their abilities when seperated from kryptonite.

Earth-Prime

Earth-Prime Kryptonians are similar to those from Earth-One, they absorb and process yellow solar radiation. However, unlike Earth-One dimension Kryptonians, the red sun system does not immediately drain them.

Pocket Universe

Kryptonians from the Time-Trapper Pocket Dimension functioned almost identically to that of the Earth-One dimension and had nigh-infinite powers.

‣ KRYPTONIAN'S SOCIAL STRUCTURE

All citizens are placed in a guild, either chosen themself of put there against their will. There are 5 guilds:

• The Military Guild: Governs all forms of martial power and military forces on the planet. Serves as the backbone of Kryptonian conquering authority. It maintains the martial glory of Krypton.
• The Science Guild: Governs most forms of technology and science on the planet. Houses the race's most ingenious minds. The guild is decried as emotionless but has contributed to the race being a mighty technological power
• The Artists Guild: Governs all forms of art, design, and creativity and believes the most strongly in the religions of the Krypton besides the Religious Guild.
• The Religious Guild:The most secretive and reclusive of the guilds. The absolute religious authority on Krypton. The guild is governed by priests which represent all Kryptonian Gods, each in turn representing a guild.
• The Labor Guild: Keeps the planet's functions running, taking on all and any manual jobs and ordered to serve all the other guilds. They are often overlooked, unseen and looked down upon as second class citizens by the other guilds. They lack any guild representation. and have no say in society affairs. According to Superman, they are tantamount to 'glorified slaves'.
